Chihuahua puppy prices in Las Vegas

Our own currently listed Chihuahua puppies are priced $6,500–$7,000, with each puppy's exact price shown on its listing — these are our figures, not a market average. For general context only, breeder listings across the wider U.S. market commonly fall around $2,500–$7,500, with standard 5–6 lb apple head puppies at the lower end and very small, long-hair or less common colour puppies higher. Age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchip, vet-signed records, the written 12-month health guarantee and our drive to Las Vegas are included rather than billed as extras. Las Vegas has a specific local risk worth naming: it is a high-transience market with heavy classified and social-marketplace listing volume, and a meaningful share of those listings are resellers rather than breeders. A puppy advertised well under a thousand dollars as a 'teacup' sits far below what proper nursery and veterinary care cost, so treat it as a reason to verify the seller thoroughly rather than proof of fraud on its own.

Because Nevada buyers frequently source from California, it is worth knowing that California tightened its dog-sale rules on January 1, 2026 — including a restriction on reselling dogs you did not breed. If your seller is a California-based middleman rather than the breeder, ask directly who whelped the litter.

Raising a Chihuahua in the Las Vegas desert

• Summer pavement is the biggest seasonal hazard. Asphalt can exceed 140°F on a 110°F afternoon and will burn a small dog's pads in under a minute. Walk before 7am or after dark, test with the back of your hand for seven seconds, and use booties or grass strips when in doubt.
• Hydration and indoor exercise. From June through September a Chihuahua's real exercise happens indoors. Short hallway fetch, puzzle feeders and stair-free play are enough for the breed. Keep water in two locations and watch for heavy panting.
• Dry air affects small airways and skin. Single-digit humidity is common. Flaky skin and a dry nose are usual; persistent coughing is not — a reverse-sneeze episode is common in the breed but a lingering cough warrants a vet call.
• Monsoon season noise. July through September brings sudden thunderstorms. Chihuahuas are noise-sensitive; introduce a covered crate den early so your puppy has a chosen retreat before the first storm rather than during it.
• Coyotes are a real predation risk. Summerlin, Mountain's Edge and the Valley's desert edges all see coyotes. Leash and supervise, day or night. A block wall is not a barrier.
• HOAs and high-rise pet rules. Much of Clark County residential is HOA-governed and much of the Strip corridor is high-rise. Read the pet addendum for weight caps, breed clauses, pet registration and relief-area requirements before you reserve.
• Travel out of LAS is easy. A Chihuahua fits a standard under-seat carrier, which makes Harry Reid International far simpler than travel with a mid-size dog. Book the airline's in-cabin pet slot in advance — they are capped per flight.

How to vet a Las Vegas Chihuahua breeder

• Ask for a live video call with the puppy — and the mother when possible. No video, no deposit.
• Require vet-signed vaccination and deworming records before any payment.
• Get the health guarantee in writing and read exactly what it covers and excludes.
• Refuse cargo shipping. Hand-delivery or in-cabin nanny travel only.
• Confirm go-home age: 10–12 weeks minimum, up to 14 weeks for very small puppies.
• Walk away from same-day pressure, deposit-only messaging, or a breeder who won't share an address.
