4. In-home raised with photos or video of the actual environment.
5. Small litters and waitlists — not "always available."
6. Both parents on-site or well-documented pedigree if imported.
7. Age at pickup — never before 8 weeks (10–14 for teacups).
8. Personal delivery or in-cabin nanny — never cargo shipping.
9. Reference from past buyers on request.
10. Willing to say no to unqualified homes.

Red flags
